Melted butter 1/2 cup
Powdered sugar 3/4 cup
Sooji (Rawa) 1 and 1/2 cup
Maida 1/2 cup
Curd 1/4 cup
Milk 3/4 cup + 1/4 cup
Baking powder 3/4 tsp
Baking soda 1/2 tsp
Elaichi powder 1/2 tsp
Dryfruits handful
Tutti frutti optional
Method:
- Mix together butter and sugar till you get a smooth silky texture.
- Add sooji and maida with curd and milk to above mix and combine together everything well.
- Add milk and let the mix soak for about 30-35 mins.
- Add baking soda, baking powder, elaichi powder and dryfruits to the mix and pour in a greased tin.
- Bake at 180 degree C for 40-45 mins till an inserted toothpick comes out clean.
Cool on a wire rack and enjoy dry cake with tea, coffee, milk or just like that !!!
Optional: You could also substitute elaichi flavour with kesar essence.
