Healthy homemade digestive biscuits

Ingredients:

Dry ingredients:

Whole wheat flour     1/2 cup
Oats (grounded)         4 tbsp
Wheat bran                5 tbsp
Cornflour                   1/2 tbsp
Brown sugar              2-3 tbsp
pinch of salt

Wet ingredients:

Butter (cold)              50 gm
Milk                           as required


Method:

  • Add all dry ingredients together and rub with ice cold butter with hands to form bread crumb texture.
  • Add milk slowly and make a dough.
  • Keep the dough to chill in fridge for 10-15 mins.
  • Roll the dough with desired thickness and cut with a cookie cutter.
  • Prick the biscuits before baking.
  • Place the cookies on a baking tray and bake in a pre-heated oven at 180 degree C for 10 mins on middle shelf.
  • After baking, allow the cookies to rest in the oven for 5-10 mins (standing time).
  • Cool on a rack and enjoy with hot tea, coffee, milk or just like that!!
