Cheesy masala crackers


Ingredients:

Dry ingredients

Whole wheat flour           1 cup
Oats (grounded)               1/2 cup
Sugar                                1 tbsp
Salt                                   1/2 tsp
Oregano                            1 tsp
Chilly flakes                     1 tsp
Baking soda                     pinch
Baking powder                pinch
Jeera/ajjwaiin                  optional


Wet ingredients

Mozarella cheese              2 tbsp
Butter (cold)                     2 tbsp
Milk                                  2-4 tbsp

Method:


  1. Mix together all the dry ingredients in a bowl and rub cold butter and cheese into it to form bread crumb texture. Make sure to do the rubbing by hands only.
  2. Add milk (4 tbsp) to bring together the ingredients into a tight dough.
  3. Cover and refrigerate for 10 mins.
  4. Roll into desired thickness and cut into desired shape with a cutter.
  5. Dont forget to prick each cookie.
  6. Arrange on a baking tray and bake in a preheated oven at 160 degree C for 12 mins.
  7. Allow standing time of 5 mins in the oven before taking the tray out.
Cool on a rack and relish with a hot tea, coffee, milk or just like that!!
